Born and raised in San Francisco, Vivian Nguyen is a filmmaker passionate about visual storytelling. With a background in fine art, her creative work has been exhibited in local galleries including Incline Gallery and Upper Market Gallery, and she is a recipient of the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. This practice informs her filmmaking, where she combines a love for writing with a strong artistic vision.

Vivian studied digital filmmaking at UCLA’s School of Theater, Film and Television through a selective summer intensive, where she developed her technical skills and creative voice. Currently a high school student, she independently writes, directs, and edits her own short films. Her projects often explore themes of personal identity, transformation, and human relationships. Whether capturing life through documentary or building dramatic narratives, she aims to create work that broadens audiences’ perspectives with honesty and heart.
